Galatasaray Vice President Metin Öztürk stated that the state quickly built permanent residences after the earthquake in Hatay and surrounding provinces and said, “We are grateful to everyone who contributed, especially our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.” he said.

HERE ARE METİN ÖZTÜRK’S STATEMENTS:

Hatay is of great importance to us. Galatasaray, which was not just a sports club after the February 6 earthquake that shook 11 cities, pioneered many things. In a very short time, 100 trucks were shipped to the region of 11 cities. The most affected cities were Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Adıyaman. Mr. Erden Timur went there with an 11-hour car journey, without even waiting for the plane. Hatay is completely different for us, thanks to our state, they are quickly building permanent housing, but there are still people staying in containers. There is an incredible agricultural wealth in that region, that’s where I shop. We will again set up our tents in the regions and hold iftars. While we say we are an NGO, yesterday was the 14th anniversary of the opening of our stadium. We are grateful to everyone who contributed, especially our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. These are structures built with the help of our state and the efforts of clubs, regardless of this club or that club. There was a change of president and coach in Hatay, I hope they continue the league with us.
