Harry Styles turns 30: his career in pictures

Harry Edward Styles was born on February 1, 1994 in Redditch, UK. Today he turns 30 years old.

In 2010, Harry Styles became famous with One Direction alongside Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, but he has since been able to shed the image of the teen boy band singer. After the group split in 2016, Styles only climbed the corporate ladder at an even faster pace. He celebrated his solo debut with his self-titled album, released in 2017, which stormed the charts immediately after its release.

A safe space for everyone

The singer not only impresses his fans with his sound, but also with his attitude. He openly supports the queer community, brings new standards to outdated gender role thinking and turns each of his concerts into a party where everyone should have space – regardless of origin, religion, sexuality and gender identity. Almost every show features an extravagant outfit with glitter, feathers and the like. The result of this in combination with his tracks – sold out halls all over the world. With fans who impatiently set up camp in front of the venues days beforehand.

The Englishman also hit the mark with his subsequent albums FINE LINE and HARRY’S HOUSE and continued his success. With his 2019 song “Treat People With Kindness,” he not only made a musical statement, but also made the title the motto of his fan base, which translates to: “Be kind to your fellow human beings.”
