Harry Kane puts everyone in the shade

FC Bayern can win again. After three defeats in a row, there was a late triumph in the top game against Leipzig. Four actors stand out.

The Bayern madness is still there, said Manuel Neuer with a smile. The German record champions’ goalkeeper was also certain on the Sky microphone: “We simply played the better game and deserved to win.”

In the first game since coach Thomas Tuchel decided to leave in the summer, the Munich team celebrated a 2-1 home win against Rasenballsport Leipzig. Neuer himself was also disappointed that the separation came about: “It obviously reflects badly on all of us that we didn’t make it with such a top coach. We now want to continue on the path professionally until the end of the season.”

With the win against the Saxons, the Bayern players have relatively quiet days ahead of them after the turbulent past few weeks.

Kane gets top marks

In the 1000th Bundesliga home game, Tuchel and the Munich star ensemble were able to celebrate striker Kane’s 27th goal of the season in injury time on Saturday evening to make it 2-1 (0-0) against fearful opponents RB Leipzig. Kane also made it 1-0 (56th). With the late success, the record champions stopped the previous series of defeats and remain at least within sight of the league dominant Bayer Leverkusen, who are eight points better.

Harry Kane unsurprisingly received the top rating in t-online’s individual review for his performance. But the English striker wasn’t the only player in Bayern’s uniform who knew how to impress. Some other players, however, disappointed in the top game. You can read who it is here or in the photo show above.
