Hard defeat for Fleks in battle for Champions League | 1Limburg

Goalkeeper Mark Fleks from Bocholtz has suffered a painful defeat with SC Freiburg in the battle for a Champions League ticket. Freiburg lost 1-4 to Union Berlin at home.

As a result, Freiburg no longer has a place in their own hands for the Champions League.

After eleven minutes, Fleks had to get the ball out of the net for the first time. Grischa Promel gave the visitors the lead. Freiburg seemed to tie the score, but Lucas Holer’s goal was disallowed due to hands. The team from Berlin scored twice before halftime. Christopher Trimmel and Sheraldo Becker therefore decided the game before half time.

Freiburg is still in fourth place, but competitor RB Leipzig can pass Flek’s club if it beats Augsburg next Monday. Next Saturday is the last round in the German Bundesliga.
