The F-Side, the hard core of Ajax, calls on supporters via social media to bring white handkerchiefs to the Ajax-FC Volendam match on Thursday. With this they want to protest en masse during the fifth minute against the performance of trainer Alfred Schreuder.
“Unfortunately, Ajax is currently suffering from a severe flu. So take your white handkerchief with you,” says an Instagram message from the hard core. Ajax dropped on Sunday after a draw against Feyenoord to fifth place in the Eredivisie, which is why the F-Side chooses to show the white handkerchiefs during the fifth minute.
Due to the disappointing results of the team from Amsterdam, Schreuder’s head has been proverbially on the chopping block in recent weeks. After the draw of De Classic, Ajax has now not won a match for six league matches in a row. October 22 (1-4 against RKC Waalwijk) is still the last victory for the Amsterdam club.
