The editorial staff of Happinez will publish three English-language editions in 2026. The first of these appeared in mid-May 2026 in 15 different countries. International editions are an important aspect of Roularta Media Group’s growth strategy.

It is not the first time that Happinez has appeared across the country. There are already a German and a French version, which are published under license. Happinez and Flow also appeared in English versions between 2015 and 2021.
Alida Dijk, who, together with Irene Smit, is in charge of the mindstyle titles of Roularta Media Group, explains what happened to the international titles: “Happinez and Flow were previously also published in English, but during the corona period this no longer turned out to be profitable. Paper costs increased enormously, distribution became almost unaffordable and stores were closed worldwide. As a result, both titles unfortunately had to discontinue their English-language editions.”

Demand from abroad continued

Nevertheless, international interest in Happinez and Flow remained high. “We continued to receive messages from fans all over the world, asking us to return. At Roularta, this restart turned out to be possible. With its own printing company in Belgium, the publishing house has an important advantage,” Dijk explains. In the spring of 2026, the green light was given for the relaunch of the English-language Happinez, which is created by the editors in Amsterdam, printed in Belgium and then distributed to 15 countries. Flow was republished in the English version two years ago.

Happinez responds to growing interest in spirituality worldwide

The first new English-language edition will be on international shelves from mid-May 2026 and is available online, among other places magazinenu.nl.
“With the growing interest in spirituality worldwide, we see opportunities on the international market. At Roularta Media Group we can also benefit from the knowledge that exists around international publishing. This year we are publishing three editions and we expect to grow to six editions per year. The first reactions from the market are positive: our distributor Frontline Distribution Solutions received enthusiastic responses from buyers worldwide to the announcement that Happinez will be available again,” says Dijk.

New revenue models

International growth is an important strategy for brands of Roularta Media Group’s mindstyle titles. Dijk: “Our titles Happinez, Flow, Psychology Magazine and Yoga (byHappinez) are known for their entrepreneurial approach. Each brand has managed to expand its strong position and authority into new sources of income in its own way. For example, the Happinez webshop has now become an important pillar, Psychology Magazine generates income from online training and international licenses in Germany and France, among others, have been generating additional turnover at Flow, Happinez and Yoga for years. At the end of 2024, Flow was successfully relaunched on the international, English-speaking market. The title won an important international magazine award.
