Expensive season tickets: Many 96 fans feel ripped off

Up to 30 euros more than in the previous season: Hannover 96 is increasing the prices for season tickets. What the fans think about it.
In the end it wasn’t quite enough for the 1st Bundesliga, Hannover 96 will remain second class in the 2026/2027 season. The ticket prices for the stadium will still be increased: season tickets will soon cost up to 30 euros more, depending on the category.
Many fans find this unjustified. In a t-online survey, more than one in three respondents (36.9 percent) stated that they found the increase unfair and felt exploited as a fan. According to their own statements, 12.8 percent can no longer afford to buy a season ticket. Another 6.9 percent of those surveyed are still thinking about the next step: They probably want to change or cancel their season ticket.

13.2 percent of those surveyed find the new prices to be too high, but still want to go to the stadium. However, more than one in five participants (21.1 percent) in the survey think that the price increase is understandable. 9.1 percent have no opinion on the topic. A total of 461 people voted in the survey. It is not representative.

Season tickets in categories 1 and 2 cost 30 euros more in the 2026/2027 season than before: in category 1 the price increases from 610 to 640 euros, in category 2 fans pay 565 instead of 535 euros. Season tickets in category 3 cost 505 euros instead of 480 euros. On the south and west curves in category 4, 380 instead of 360 euros will be charged in the future; in the northern area of category 4 the price will rise from 405 to 425 euros. The standing room in the north curve (category 5) will be 10 euros more expensive and will cost 250 euros in the future.
727,500 fans attended Hannover 96’s 17 home games in the 2025/26 season. The Heinz von Heide Arena was sold out eight times. In the 2024/25 season, however, 651,100 spectators came to the stadium; All seats were sold in four games.
