Hannover 96 fans will soon have a historic chance. During the upcoming summer break you can secure a special memorabilia from the stadium.

Restart at Hannover 96: The club is fundamentally renovating the Heinz von Heiden Arena in the summer. The old, predominantly blue seating shells will completely disappear from the stadium. Instead, the seats will come in the club colors of black, white and green for the new season. This is the result of a vote among fans last summer.

Work will begin immediately after the Iron Maiden concert on June 8th. Construction workers then remove the old seats and install the new ones. The club plans to complete the renovation by the end of July.

Hannover 96 has some of the old seats recycled. The company E&G Kunststofftechnik processes the material further and uses it for new shells.

However, the club gives up many seats to the fans. Hannover 96 organizes several pick-up appointments in the summer. Visitors can secure a seat there free of charge. It is not possible to select specific seats. Season ticket holders, fan clubs and members receive access first. After that, anyone interested can get in touch. The club wants to publish the dates in good time.

Clubs from the region can also apply for the seating shells. Partner clubs and participants in the “96 Talents+Friends” football school can get seats if they state a specific purpose.

Hannover 96 still has at least two home games left in the current season. On May 3rd (1:30 p.m.) Preußen Münster comes to the Heinz von Heiden Arena. Two weeks later, on May 17th (3:30 p.m.), 1. FC Nürnberg visits the “Reds” on the last matchday.

After 31 match days, coach Christian Titz’s team is in third place with 57 points. That would mean relegation against the 16th place at the end of the season. the 1st Bundesliga (currently: FC St. Pauli). Hannover 96 can also hope for direct promotion: the club is only one point behind second place in the table. SC Paderborn 07.
