Since then, Öberg and Ponsiluoma have been a dream couple in the biathlon circus. The two live and train together in the Swedish biathlon stronghold Östersund.
They recently spoke “Expresses” with the Swedish newspaper whether they will stay in the hometown of Ponsiluoma forever. Öberg said: “We have Martin’s family in Östersund. But it depends on everything you want to do after your career. I can’t imagine that we will change as soon as we both stop, but I don’t think I will live there for the rest of my life.”
Your partner: “I think it is difficult for me to move, we are very happy in Östersund. And I think Hanna does so too. I’ve never felt so comfortable in another place.”
At Öberg/Ponsiluoma, it will still have to be discussed where the place together should take place after the career. The 29-year-old said: “It is clear that the end is getting closer, I am now thinking about other things that I have not thought about before.” Olympia 2026 was always her goal.
