Hanna and Haley make millions with pictures like this – the 22-year-old sisters finished university

Basketball stars Haley, 22, and Hanna Cavinder, 22, dropped out of college and jumped on Jake Paul’s bandwagon.

Hanna Cavinder (15) and Haley Cavinder (14) represented the Miami Hurricanes this season. PDO

– This rule change has been my dream for a long time, Olivia “Livvy” Dunne stated recently.

The gymnastics star studying at the University of Louisiana talked about the new NIL law (name, image, likeness). A rule that went into effect a couple of years ago made it possible for college athletes to get sponsorship deals, which made Dunne, a social phenomenon, an instant millionaire.

They also travel on the same path Haley and Hanna Cavinder, the basketball-playing twins. The Cavinder sisters have created a profitable brand for themselves with the help of social media.

They first excelled on the basketball courts, even broke college league records, and then received lucrative sponsorship deals thanks to the new NIL law.

The law entered into force on July 1, 2021. A year later, the financial magazine Forbes estimated that the twins had already earned 1.54 million euros from cooperation agreements.

In November 2022, the Cavinder sisters had more than 40 collaboration agreements.

“Retrograde step”

Tara Vanderveer, a former basketball player and current basketball coach, is critical of teenage stars’ social media income. He doesn’t just see it as a good thing.

– It damages the fight for equality in women’s sports. Appearance becomes a brand that perpetuates sexism, and that’s what we’re trying to get rid of. This is a step backwards.

Vanderveer has a point, because young women often gain followers and thus more sponsors with pictures that ooze sex. So they practically sell their appearance.

Cavinder’s sisters disagree with Vanderveer. For them, social media provides an excellent opportunity to make money, even if you are not successful in sports.

– When you play women’s basketball, there is really little chance of becoming a professional and succeeding. We want to show the younger generation that they have a chance to succeed outside of sports as well if they prioritize NIL first in college, Haley stated on The Today Show.

Show wrestling

In 2021, the Cavinders signed a contract with show wrestling organization WWE, among others. They jumped Next in Line – program, which attracts potential wrestlers from university wrestling.

– It fits our brand and unites us well. It’s a great partner and we’re looking forward to what’s to come,” Haley said.

According to estimates, the Cavinders will receive a six-figure sum for themselves from the WWE deal.

The sisters have yet to make their show wrestling debut, but the Cavinders’ agent by Jeff Hoffman according to it is getting closer all the time.

To Paul’s sled

The sisters excelled on the Miami Hurricanes’ varsity team this season, but next year they will no longer be in the league, as the women decided to drop out of college.

– This was a really difficult situation. We wanted to play our fifth year, but we finally came to the conclusion that we want to optimize the opportunities in front of us, explained Haley.

He would have liked to continue his university career, but his sister had a different opinion. So Haley also dropped out of school.

– At the end of the day, I believe that we are always better together.

After the shock news, the sisters revealed that they are jumping to social media Jake Paul’s to the sled. They signed a contract with a betting company owned by Paul.

– I wouldn’t say that we chose money over sports. We’ve had four good years of college basketball, and success outside of sports is important.
