Besseling has been playing in a club since he was eleven for Aalsmeer. There Wai Wong is the trainer. Wong is also the assistant trainer at Oranje. “I personally heard the news from Wai Wong and it did not quite come up with that I actually went along. I am very happy with it and hope I can do my bit with the big boys,” says Besseling.
Benghanem also present
In addition to Besseling, his clubmates Samir Benghanem and Jeromy van der Ban have also been selected. After a serious knee injury, Benghanem is fit again. Robin Nagtegaal is the only player of Volendam who is in the orange selection.
