Handball European Championship: Germany saves itself to a draw against Austria

Germany only managed a draw in the game against Austria on Saturday evening and has to worry about progressing. The Germans now have to play two games in the main round of the European Handball Championship.

It was a game of great saves: German goalkeeper Andi Wolff was able to prevent many more goals. But the German attack also had difficulty getting past the Austrian goalkeeper Constantin Möstl. The only 23-year-old impressed with his strong performance.

The Austrians were able to pull away with a few points several times during the game, but Germany managed to catch up each time. In the end, national coach Gíslason’s team managed to equalize shortly before the end.
