France without problems
Olympic champions France outclassed Ukraine 36:23 (17:11) in Szeged, Hungary, but could still miss the main round due to a possible three-way comparison.
With five goals, Dylan Nahi was the most successful thrower for the French, who surprisingly lost their dress rehearsal for the European Championship last Sunday (34:35). At the start, France had its top star Nikola Karabatic in Group C prevailed in a heated duel 27:22 against Vice European Champion Croatia.
In Group F Co-hosts Slovakia got their first win with a 31:26 against Lithuania in their second European Championship appearance.
