Taylor Hall was the hero of the night.
The Carolina Hurricanes beat the Philadelphia Flyers 3–2 in overtime and took a 2–0 lead in the second round of the playoffs.
The deciding goal was scored by Taylor Hall, after 18:51 of overtime had been played. Carolina’s home crowd erupted in joy.
The number one center of the red shirts Sebastian Aho was left without power points. He shot once in the match.
Aho has not been at his sharpest in the playoffs. He has scored 3+0 in six games, and two of the goals have come from empty nets.
The night of the Finnish star’s chain mate Andrei Svetšnikov was unruly, as he took no less than three two-minute penalties: two for a high stick and one for hooking.
The final result of the match leaves the Flyers sad, as the team already took a two-goal lead in 4:41 with hits from Jamie Drysdale and Sean Couturier. The Hurricanes’ Nikolaj Ehlers and Seth Jarvis tied the game.
Seth Jarvis celebrates his tying goal in the third period. PDO
