Anyone who stepped outside this morning in Haarlemmermeer or Amstelland could hardly have missed it. The regions were full of rainbows. The pot of gold has not yet been found, but that shouldn’t spoil the fun.
“It was incredibly beautiful,” says Mariëla Kalwij, who spotted a perfect rainbow above her village. “As if Rijsenhout was embraced.”
Carina Blom spotted a beautiful specimen in Nieuw-Vennep. “Despite the rain, a real gift.” Other arches were spotted in Hoofddorp, Lisserbroek.

Amstelland was also in contention for the pot of gold, although the prospects there were a bit thinner this morning. The rainbow is also not to be missed in Amstelveen. Ton de Ruijter thinks the natural phenomenon is almost as beautiful as the Northern Lights.
According to Jan Visser, the arches have also been seen or can be seen in many other places. “It is showery in many places,” said the NH weatherman.
