Lukas Dauser successfully defended his all-around title with a world-class performance on his parade apparatus.

The decision was made on the “silver bars”, but Lukas Dauser only cried out on the high bar: Thanks to a world-class performance on his parade apparatus, the Olympic bronze medalist successfully defended his all-around title at the German Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Berlin. After a weak start, the man from Unterhaching overtook all his competitors and repeated last year’s victory in the “Finals”.

Nguyen has a disappointing afternoon

Veteran Marcel Nguyen, on the other hand, had to cope with a disappointing afternoon. Instead of recommending himself to take part in the European Championships in mid-August in his native city of Munich, the 34-year-old fell prematurely on parallel bars, on which he had won Olympic silver like Dauser ten years ago, and missed the final on Sunday.

The two-time European champion fought his way back to the gymnastics podium with a lot of work after tearing his cruciate ligament last year. However, due to the after-effects of his serious injury, Nguyen decided against a complete all-around in the Max-Schmeling-Halle.

The Hanoverian Andreas Toba was not in top form either. Of the “Hero de Janeiro” from 2016 – at that time he was still doing gymnastics on the pommel horse with a cruciate ligament tear – missed the winner’s podium in sixth place. Philipp Herder from Berlin won the silver medal ahead of Glenn Trebing from Hanover. Trampoline gymnast Fabian Vogel from Bad Kreuznach already had his title in the Olympic at noon Individual competition successfully defended The 27-year-old prevailed just ahead of Matthias Pfleiderer from Stuttgart and Miguel Feyh from Ranstadt.

Leonie Adam triumphs in women
