Gwinn breaks the mark of 300,000 Instagram followers

National player Giulia Gwinn from FC Bayern has helped the ongoing European Football Championship in England to become even more popular on the Instagram social network.

After the successes in the first two group games, the social media queen of the DFB selection has 303,000 followers on the platform. Before the tournament started, the 23-year-old had around 255,000 subscribers.

“You are incredible,” wrote the full-back to her fans. In the team’s internal Instagram ranking, Gwinn is currently way ahead, midfielder Sara Däbritz (Olympique Lyon) follows in second place with around 199,000 followers. The official account of the DFB women has around 163,000 subscribers.

Thanks to the many fans and numerous advertising partners, Gwinn’s job as a football influencer is “a good extra income for football”, as she says herself. From the current EM squad, only goalkeeper Almuth Schult does not have a social media account, and national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg (14,200 followers) is also active on Instagram.
