Turkish racing driver Ayhanancan Güven celebrated his first DTM victory in Oschersleben.
The Porsche pilot prevailed in the second race of the opening weekend in front of the Frenchman Jules Gounon in Mercedes and his Manthey teammate Thomas Preining from Austria. On Saturday, Güven still took seventh place.
The three -time champion René Rast (BMW), after qualifying in 15th place, narrowly missed the podium after a severe catch -up and finished fifth. The winner Lucas Auer (Mercedes) only came to tenth place, defending champion Mirko Bortolotti, who is driving for the ABT Sportsline team this season, was ninth as on Saturday.
