“We are fun for the first fifteen minutes and then we didn’t have been ourselves for half an hour,” says trainer Anthony Correia after the game about the very stiff first half of his team. “But in the end it is a justified result about two halves”

“After the game I looked at the branch. And then I thought:” Wow, Telstar is alive. “If that goal had still fallen, it would have been nice for the supporters. I was proud of that.”

Exchange Ogidi Nwankwo

A striking moment in the first half was the early switch from Neville Ogidi Nwankwo. The central defender made the violation from which the penalty kick of the 1-0 followed. Correia announced afterwards that Ogidi Nwankwo was not sacrificed because of his error. “He applied for the switch himself. He couldn’t turn on anymore. Then I will not leave him on the field.”

Next weekend there will be international football and so Telstar will not play. The next match is therefore on Sunday, October 19. SC Heerenveen then visits Velsen-Zuid. Kick -off is at 12.15 pm.
