Guus Meeuwis thanks wet-rained fans after The Streamers

Guus Meeuwis is grateful that the public has braved the rain in recent days for the shows of The Streamers. On Instagram, the founder of the supergroup thanks everyone who ‘has been dancing, partying and singing in the rain for the past three days’ during the concerts at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam. “Your tireless energy was amazing!”

The Streamers, also consisting of Maan, Nick & Simon and Suzan & Freek, performed in the stadium from Friday to Sunday. The rain caused problems on Friday as people sought shelter and became crowded.

Measures taken
The organization took measures to prevent such a situation. For example, emergency exits were used for the ‘inflow and outflow’ of visitors.

The performances in the Olympic Stadium were the first for a physically present audience. The Streamers gave several digital shows for this. A second series of physical concerts has been announced for next year in the GelreDome in Arnhem.
