Australian army under enormous pressure due to natural disaster relief

The Australian military has been under enormous pressure for several years now due to the “almost constant” assistance it has to provide in the event of natural disasters. The Ministry of Defense is warning the country’s government, according to the British newspaper The Guardian, that it must rapidly consider “more cost-effective ways” to continue to provide aid in the event of natural disasters. Due to the consequences of climate change, such emergency aid will be needed even more often, the army says.
