In light of the “rapid worsening of the humanitarian crisis”, United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres decided on Sunday to immediately send an envoy to Sudan. Martin Griffiths is the head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). His spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric reports this in a statement.
