Despite the war in Ukraine, the subsequent energy crisis, rising inflation and sharply higher interest rates, the labor market performed particularly well in 2022 with a record number of vacancies, extremely low unemployment and rising wages. This year promises to be a bit grittier with more clashes over higher wages and slightly rising unemployment.
