Owners Jan Markveld and Chris-Jan van Hees have been offering emergency packages for about a year. “Now that the Dutch government has recommended it, there is a lot of demand for it,” Markveld begins. “We see that more and more is being ordered online, but people also come for a package in the store.” According to Markveld, more and more people want to prepare for an emergency situation.

The emergency package contains various products to get through for a few days. A flashlight, an emergency radio, water purification tablets, tenable food and a cooking set. “The packages can put together people themselves,” the owner explains. “We don’t want to offer a standard emergency package, because people often already have things at home,” he adds.
