Dylan Groenewegen won the opening stage in the Tour of Hungary today. The team from Amsterdam was the fastest in a mass sprint.
The first stage in the multi-day stage race was over 168 kilometers. Groenewegen eventually crossed the line first in the hilly stage, just ahead of Sam Bennett and Caleb Ewan.
The 29-year-old sprinter of Team Jayco AlUla triumphed for the first time since February 24, when he won a stage in the Tour of the United Arab Emirates. It is Groenewegen’s third victory of the season.
