Greenland’s government leader rejects Trump again: “We don’t want to be Americans”

Greenland will not be led away from its own path by the statements of future US President Donald Trump to bring Greenland under US control. “The future of Greenland is decided by Greenland and the Greenlandic people,” said Greenland’s head of government, Mute B. Egede, during a joint press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Copenhagen. She has also emphasized that the Greenlanders themselves determine their future: “Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders, no one else.”
