Now the Greens are resisting the shooting down of their district mayor, Stephan von Dassel (55)!
The Greens parliamentarians in Mitte have been wanting to make short work of it for a week. They call on von Dassel to resign, otherwise they threaten to be voted out. The voting result for this approach was only narrow (8 yes, 6 no, 2 abstentions).
In contrast, the party executive in Mitte acts less briskly. He wants to wait for the administrative review of the process by the Red City Hall. Von Dassel is accused of wanting to end an official legal dispute over filling a vacancy with money from private funds.
“Before a judgment, we want to wait for the test result,” says a letter that BZ is available.
“Our more than 2,100 party members in Mitte should have the opportunity to talk directly to Stephan and to consult within the party.”
