The arrival of a public toilet in the center of Hoogeveen is final. The entire city council agreed to free up 130,000 euros for that.
All groups did not have to think long about the decision, because the call for a public toilet has been there for years. The plan is to place a building at the bicycle shed at the intersection of the Hoofdstraat with Jonkheer de Jongestraat.
Visitors will soon pay 50 cents for a visit to the public toilet. Outside the shopping hours, it can also be used – a long -held wish of entrepreneurs, politics and the disabled platform.
Hoogeveen has not been doing so well for a while as it was about toilet friendliness. The new toilet must change that. Earlier, the desire to place a toilet in an existing building was already pronounced, but that did not end.
After settlements with the proceeds, around 15,000 euros will be used per year to keep things clean.
