The Green Bay Packers allegedly separate from a long -term service provider in the NFL.

As NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports on Monday at the short message service X, the Green Bay Packers will be released prematurely their cornerback Jaire Alexander (contract until 2027). An official confirmation is still pending.

Both parties are said to have initially agreed to look for a trade in spring. A contractual renovation was also discussed at the same time. But ultimately no deal jumped out with regard to both options.

Jaire Alexander matures the Packers to Pro Bowler

Now it should amount to a separation between Green Bay Packers and Jaire Alexander, so that franchise and players apparently have clarity.

The Packers had selected the Cornerback at NFL Draft 2018 in the first round with the 18th pick. Jaire Alexander then matured into one of the best passers in Wisconsin in Wisconsin and was elected in the Pro Bowl in 2020 and 2022.

In total, the 28-year-old has 78 NFL operations on twelve interceptions.

Jaire Alexander from the bad luck of injury

In the past seasons, Jaire Alexander has always been persecuted by the bad luck of injury. In 2023 and 2024, the Cornerback played only seven games for the Head Coach Matt Lafleur team.

The last NFL season for Jaire Alexander ended at the end of November. Green Bay then had to do without his top performer. The traditional franchise lost in the playoffs on the Wild Card Weekend with 10:22 against the later champion Philadelphia Eagles.

It has not yet been determined where it could go after his alleged Packers out. However, Jaire Alexander within the NFL should not lack options.
