The korfball players of Groen Geel lost 29-22 to DVO. Daniel Harmzen’s team led for a large part of the game, but gave it up in the last fifteen minutes.
In the first half, the game was even to 6-6, after which the visitors ran out to 7-12. DVO then came back and both teams went into halftime 11-14 in favor of the team from Wormer.
After the break, Groen Geel ran out to 13-17 and it remained exciting until 20-20. In the last fifteen minutes DVO ran from 23-20 to 27-22. In the end, two more runs were scored in the final phase.

The defeat puts extra pressure on the game against DOS’46. The competitor in the battle for the championship group won 17-12 against Oost-Arnhem. As a result, DOS’46 has two points more than Groen Geel and the North Hollanders drop to fourth place.
Coming weekend, the duel with DOS is scheduled for the team from Wormer. The top three clubs go to the championship group; the bottom three will soon play in the relegation pool for self-preservation in the Korfbal League.
