An unexpected twist: Gordon does not react angrily or even aggrieved to winning De TV Knol for worst TV program of the year. “This is the best response he could give!”
Gordon won the award for worst TV program of the year with his soap opera, the so-called TV Knol. The jury included Victor Vlam, whom the entertainer hates. Yet Goor does not lash out angrily. In fact, he doesn’t even react aggrievedly. And that all takes some getting used to.
Goor is moved
57-year-old Gordon recorded a light-hearted video response and sent it to both RTL Boulevard and Shownieuws. “I’m completely moved. I mean, I’ve rarely won a prize. At least, never actually, so when you win one and in a category like that…” he says.
The Radio 10 DJ continues: “Yes, I think it is a great honor and I would also like to thank a few people, including my producer of course and my worker and my make-up artist. They have had their hands full by the way.”
Fake friends
Gordon’s thank you speech continues for a while. “I would also like to thank my bank for the support, all the airlines I used in the series, my fake friends especially those I had there, my dogs and who else can I thank? Albert Verlinde of course, Angela de Jong, Tina Nijkamp, yes…”
He concludes: “Thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart, really!”
Best response
Tooske Ragas praises Gordon in Shownieuws for the way he reacts. “This is the best response he could have given, right?”
Private boss Evert Santegoeds, Goor’s biggest critic, said: “Yes, he has learned something from it.”
And entertainment expert Aran Bade in RTL Boulevard: “He does that well.”
