Radio 10 DJ Gordon is canceling his planned online program Gordon News Network. What if he still wants to do something besides his radio work? “I have a tip,” says Tina Nijkamp.
We hear relatively little from Gordon these days. He is making a program on Radio 10, but that has not been determined the talk of the town. To cause some commotion, he announced the Gordon News Network last month. It should provide a counterpoint to juice channels and what he calls ‘the noise from Hilversum’.
Goor draws a line
Goor is now drawing a line through that. “The planned Gordon News Network will not go ahead. After reconsideration, I prefer to maintain the peace that currently exists in my head and heart. I have a super nice morning show on Radio 10 every morning where I can and may give my opinion.”
He continues: “I will focus on my personal and physical growth in the coming months and want to maintain this positive flow. There may be room for other programs or challenges in the future, but from a different perspective.”
Tina not surprised
TV authority Tina Nijkamp is not surprised that Gordon is now also putting an end to this project after his TV reviews and aviation columns. “Well, actually everyone saw that coming, but I think that if Gordon wants to return to television, he should do the program Five Days Inside. That is my tip for Gordon.”
Wilfred Genee then says in the column In The Walkways: “I’ll see him tomorrow, because he’s coming to Showbird tomorrow. Then I’ll tell him this right away.”
Completely ruined
Five Days Inside was previously shown on RTL, but now appears to be transfer-free. Goor works at Talpa. “Yes, that is an RTL program, but it has completely collapsed, because they ruined it there. Very honest, sorry Peter, but you did not handle that well,” says Tina.
Wilfred: “That’s not the only thing he ruined, right?”
Tina: “No, he ruined this too.”
Oldies
What do you mean, ruined? Tina: “Beau of course won the Televizier-Ring with it, but after that they started putting all kinds of types on it. Natasja Froger, Angela Groothuizen, Eddy Zoëy, Geraldine Kemper. That program collapsed and collapsed, and Gordon can pick it up, because he was also good with those oldies.”
According to her, Talpa can purchase this. “Then he can do it on SBS 6 or for Net5. The format will then be purchased. That is my tip for Gordon. I think that suits him much better than a reality soap or following his life.”
Geer & Goor
Reporter Merel Ek then comes up with the clincher that the duo Geer & Goor must return. What does Tina think about that? “No, I don’t think so.”
Wilfred: “That’s just what I wanted to say. You have to be able to move on yourself. I think he can still do a lot, that Gordon, but he needs to get rid of that aggrieved feeling a bit.”
Tina concludes: “Well, exactly. And he can also express that humor in a Five Days Inside.”
