State Secretary Zolt Szabó (Digitization and Kingdom Relations) visits Bonaire from 25 to 28 May. In addition to discussions with the Executive Council, the Lieutenant Governor and the Acting Rijks Reporting representative, Mr. Szabó visits several companies and social organizations. The spearheads of the State Secretary are economic self -reliance, good governance and solid finances. All these topics are discussed during the conversations.
Monday 26 May
The working visit starts on Monday 26 May. Mr. Szabó visits the IND office and the police station. He speaks with employees of the Caribbean Netherlands Corps and of the Regional Information and Expertise Center (RIEC), about combating undermining crime. With the special envoy for EU funds, the State Secretary will discuss the results of various trade missions and conferences. Subsequently, the State Secretary speaks with representatives from Residents Organization Pro Lagun about the situation at Selibon. Under the economic self -reliance spearhead, the focus on food security is also due to local food production. That is why Mr. Szabó visits the chicken farm in the afternoon Punta Blanku. On the same day, the State Secretary will be given a tour of the Water Purification Installation of Web.
Tuesday 27 May
The day starts with a visit to the Selibon waste dump, in the presence of the acting government representative and the Executive Council. He then visits the MBO Bonaire, this visit is dominated by the technical training that are offered there.
In the afternoon, Mr. Szabó has consecutive conversations with representatives of Curoil and the Tourism Corporation Bonaire and then he goes by boat to Klein Bonaire under the leadership of Stinapa, the foundation responsible for the control of the national parks on Bonaire. He ends the day with a conversation with the chairman of the climate table.
Wednesday 28 May
In the morning, State Secretary Szabó starts a visit to the white slave houses under the direction of Fuhikubo. This foundation is concerned with the cultural -historical history of Bonaire. Subsequently, he visits Bonaire International Airport and ends the morning with a visit to fruit -making and landscape designer Complete Landscaping Services Bonaire.
The afternoon starts with a conversation about young entrepreneurship at the Chamber of Commerce. The State Secretary then visits a construction site and speaks with representatives from the Bonaire Bonaire Association. The working visit is concluded with a joint press conference of State Secretary and the Lieutenant Governor of Bonaire.
