Peter Gillis and his lawyer had a ‘good’ interview on Wednesday with the lawyer of Taeke Dijkstra, the buyer of Gillis’ Holiday parks. They will talk about it with the intention that the purchase continues, the lawyers report. Earlier Dijkstra did not want to pay because of Gillis’ problems with the tax authorities.
Lawyer Oscar van Oorschot convinced Dijkstra to talk again last week. “A different atmosphere has been created. In the coming weeks we will continue to talk, with the aim of completing the transaction,” says Van Oorschot. He does not want to say what exactly was discussed.

Gillis recently forced summary proceedings that the deal of 185 million euros should continue and that Dijkstra must say who the lenders are. Otherwise he must pay a penalty of 100,000 euros per day. “The ball is at Dijkstra to indicate who the financiers are and how it is financed,” said Gillis’ lawyer Erik Braun.
