Golf Manassero remains at the top in South Africa after the third round

At the Jonsson Open Matteo finishes with a -5 for the day (-20 total) and leads the ranking before the final round: he has a one-shot lead over Norris and Smith. Pavan also did well, eleventh

Matteo’s dream is still there, beautiful and possible. Manassero maintained his lead in the Jonsson Open underway in South Africa at the Glendower Golf Club in Dowerglen. After the incredible -11 on Thursday, the Veronese closed the third round in 67 shots (-5) for a total of 196 (68, 61, 67; -20). Behind him are the South African Shaun Norris and the Englishman Jordan Smith, both at -19. The final round will be very close with 10 players divided by 5 shots. In eleventh place there is also an excellent Andrea Pavan (68, 67, 67; -14)

Manassero remains the youngest winner of a DP World tournament (then called the European Tour), thanks to his success in Spain in the 2010 Castello Masters when he was just 17 and a half years old. His last triumph on the first European circuit dates back to more than ten years ago, in May 2013, when he won in England at Wentworth.
