The woman tells her story in the television program Bureau NH. She does so without a name or surname out of fear and privacy considerations. On October 20, she was contacted by telephone by people posing as bank employees and police officers.
The criminals warn her that her belongings are in danger and advise her to take all her valuables to safety. And there are quite a few. She is a goldsmith by profession and therefore has many valuable items in her home.
‘I believed it’
“It was advised to get all my stuff from everywhere and put it in a bag and take it to safety at Naarden Vesting, because there was a bank bunker there.” According to the woman, it all sounds very reliable. “I believed it,” she says. All this time she has been and remains on the phone with someone from supposedly the bank.
