The Dutch team billiards with Dick Jaspers from Sint Willebrord won the Billiards World Championship on Sunday afternoon. Jaspers, together with teammate Jean Paul de Bruijn, grabbed the gold in the final with title defender Vietnam.

For 59-year-old Brabander Jaspers, it is his fourth world title with a Dutch team. The championship was held in the German Viersen. In the semi -final, the Dutch team beat Turkey, Vietnam came in the final due to a victory over Belgium.

Reigning world champion defeated
The two billiard players caused sensation by conquering in the final of the Vietnam World Championship, the reigning champion. In his match against Quyet Chien Tran, Jaspers won 40-38 in 21 innings, the Zeeuw Jean Paul de Bruijn defeated Phuong Vinh Bao, the world champion of 2023, with 40-34 in 28 innings.
