In terms of sport, the year was extremely positive for Finn Dahmen. The goalkeeper now also has every reason to be happy on a personal level.
The year ends with a highlight for Finn Dahmen: the German international got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Polina. This emerges from a joint Instagram post by the footballer and his partner.
The post consists of several images. The Augsburg professional and his chosen one can be seen again and again – including on a boat trip together. The last photo shows the two of them in front of a Christmas tree from the Italian fashion label “Dolce & Gabbana”. Dahmen has Polina in his arms. She happily presents her engagement ring.
In the previous picture, he also presented himself with sunglasses with “Forever Finn” written on the lenses. Polina captioned the post with the English word “Yes” – once again making it clear that the couple is planning the future together.
Dahmen and his now fiancée have been in a relationship for many years. They found each other as teenagers. Just a few days ago, Polina published another Instagram post in which she celebrated the 9th anniversary of their partnership.
It is not yet known when the wedding will take place. For Dahmen, his focus will be on sport again in the coming days. Training will start again at FC Augsburg on January 2nd. The Fuggerstadt team is deep in the relegation battle and wants to secure relegation in the second half of the season.
For Dahmen, it’s not just about staying in the league. The 27-year-old wants to recommend himself again for the German national team with good performances and thus also for the DFB squad for the World Cup next summer. Most recently, the goalkeeper was nominated several times by national coach Julian Nagelsmann as one of the substitutes for Oliver Baumann. However, Dahmen has not yet made an international appearance.
