The German team BIG started the Counter-Strike tournament Blast Premier Spring with a mixed performance. For the Berlin organization it was only enough for third place in the group phase of the tournament.

“We know that we are actually better,” tweeted BIG player Josef “faveN” Baumann after the second loss in the group stage against Ninjas in Pajamas (NiP). In the opening game of the tournament, the Berliners lost against the Swedish organization by a narrow margin of 12:16. BIG then fought their way back into the tournament by beating Complexity – only to lose again in revenge against NiP.

However, third place in the group stage does not mean the end for BIG. Next week the Berliners will continue in the quarterfinals of the Play-In Blast Premier Spring. With two wins there, the team can still qualify for the finals.
