Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach got through the start of the new football year with a double test without defeat. Coach Andre Schubert’s team gambled away the win in Tuesday’s Bundesliga duel with Hertha BSC after a 2-0 lead and had to settle for a 2-2 (1-0) win in the end. The Gladbach team won the first game of the day against the Turkish first division club Sivasspor 2-1 (1-0) with goals from Josip Drmic and Branimir Hrgota.
