Mazrouei, United States Minister of Defense Affairs

Arab Emirates, the 12th edition of the Dubai International Air Chiefs

Conference.

The opening ceremony at Atlantis – The Palm, Dubai was attended by more than 100

official delegations from all over the world took part, including high-ranking representatives of the

Ministry of Defense, commanders of the Air Force, chiefs of staff of friends

and allied nations as well as decision makers and executives of major

national, regional and international companies from the following sectors

Defense, Aviation, Advanced Technology, Space Sciences and

artificial intelligence.

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates

Emirates in strategic partnership with ADNEC Group under the motto

“Hypersonic Edge: Re-Envisioning Airpower Across Asymmetric Spaces” (Hypersonic

Edge: Reconceptualization of the Air Force in Asymmetrical Spaces).

Session 1

The first session entitled?Hypersonics, UAVs, and Artificial Intelligence:

Adapting Airpower to Asymmetric Battlespaces” (hypersonics, UAVs and artificial

Intelligence: Adaptation of the Air Force to asymmetrical combat areas) was included

an introductory statement by Joseph Guastella, Corporate Vice President and

Regional Executive for Europe and the Middle East at Northrop Grumman,

opened.

The first session was attended by Major General Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander

of the Air Force and Air Defense of the United Arab Emirates, General

Adrian L. Spain, commander of U.S. Air Combat Command, Gen. Jérôme Bellanger,

Chief of Staff of the French Air Force and Space, and Lieutenant General JR

speiser-blanchet, commander of the royal canadian air force. She

discussed building an agile coalition and tackling new ones

Challenges in the air force sector. Then found one

interactive discussion with official delegations.

At the second session entitled?Beyond the Atmosphere: Integrating Air and

Space Capabilities for Strategic Superiority” (Beyond the Atmosphere:

Integration of air and space capabilities for strategic superiority)

took Major General Vincent Chusseau, commander of the French

Space Command, and His Excellency Eng. Salem Butti Al Qubaisi,

Director General of the United Arab Emirates Space Agency, Air

Marshal Stephen Chappell, Chief of the Royal Australian Air Force, and Air Marshal

Narmdeshwar Tiwari, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indian Air Force, took part.

The third and final session entitled?The Warfighter of Tomorrow:

Standards, Artificial Intelligence, and Accountability in Next Generation

Airpower” (The Warrior of Tomorrow: Standards, Artificial Intelligence and

Responsibility in the next generation Air Force) was awarded with a

introductory remark by Dr. Chaouki Kasmi, President of Technology and

Innovation at the EDGE Group, opened.

The session moderated by Kasmi was attended by Major General Jonas Wickman, commander

of the Swedish Air Force, and discussed the topic of redesigning the

Recruiting and building the future armed forces.

General Son Sug Rag, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Air Force, delivered a speech

on the topic?Mastering asymmetric spaces: redefining the warfighter for the

future” (mastery of asymmetrical spaces: redefining the soldier of the

Future).

Lt. Gen. Antonio Conserva, chief of the Italian Air Force,

spoke about the topic?Standards under pressure: maintaining excellence in the

age of automation” (Standards under pressure: maintaining

Top performance in the age of automation).

Professor Peter Hays of the Space Policy Institute at George Washington University

gave a lecture entitled?Learning to Learn: Building Intellectual

Readiness for the Future Space Battlespace” (Learning to Learn: Intellectuals

Preparing for the future space war room).

The discussion ended with an official recognition ceremony for the

Participants and a group photo session.
