Daniel Craig as a detective in a detective story à la Miss Marple – what seemed absurd after more than ten years as James Bond hit like a bomb in 2019 with “Knives Out – Murder is a Family Matter”. It wasn’t long before calls for a sequel began and Netflix secured the rights. Now the streaming service has released the first teaser for the second part.
Director Rian Johnson was once again inspired by a song for the title of the film. After Radiohead (“Knives Out”), this time it’s the Beatles with “Glass Onion” from the “White Album”. The first part was all about the family of the quirky crime writer Harlan Thrombey. This time, Craig’s detective Benoit Blanc must investigate a Greek island surrounded by the rich and famous.

Like its predecessor, which starred Ana de Armas and Chris Evans, among others, “Glass Onion” is a real star show. Joining Craig are Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.
The film will be released on Netflix on December 23. Cinema lovers also have the chance to watch it in selected cinemas beforehand. The exact start date for this is not yet known.
