★★★★ Perhaps many have only recently met Aníbal Pachano through his television appearances in recent years, as a jury or panelist on different programs, but the fact is that, in addition to being an architect, he is a professional with a 40-year career dedicated to to the music hall He is the creator, together with his ex-wife Ana Sans, of the remembered group Botton Tap, which debuted at the legendary Michelángelo and with whom they presented “Amapola”, “Tonigth”, “Smoke” and “Tangou”, among other shows.
This summer, in a surprising decision, he decided to step aside and retire from the stage, at least as a dancer, since he promised to continue directing and giving space to new generations of artists.
The farewell began with a successful season at Villa Carlos Paz, in which his show ” Así… Vuelvo” won seven Carlos awards, the award that is dedicated to the best stage proposals.
The story that we see on stage is a vigorous cavalcade that reflects his life through his different artistic works and is told through numerous paintings in which the artist’s iron and expert hand can be seen.
The occasion is propitious to recall iconic moments that go back to different eras of disco music, such as the humorous parody of the Village People and their “YMCA” and even the musical “Evita”, with the already mythical and emotional “Don’t cry for me Argentina”, by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
He is accompanied by a talented ensemble of dancers and singers, among whom the ductility of Mariano Magnifico stands out, a kind of alter ego of the popular man in a top hat; the tango dancers Emanuel Casal and Yanina Muzyka in a successful dance set in which cuts and ravines trace enviable firules; the impressive transgender artist Victoria Molotok, the remarkable dancer Gonzalo Gerber and the warm and powerful voice of Julia Montiliengo.
Thus, with a sheer waste of glamour, with a luxurious wardrobe created by Sans herself with Patricia Fiaño and Maco Ferrer, and the very good choreography by Georgina Tirotta, the viewer is immersed in a proposal of great artistic quality with the unmistakable and distinctive seal of Pachano in staging and lighting.
