Mönchengladbach (dpa) – Borussia Mönchengladbach’s sports director Roland Virkus has confirmed rumors that Matthias Ginter has decided on a new club.
“We spoke briefly and he told me what he was going to do,” Virkus told the DAZN streaming service on Monday evening before the game against RB Leipzig. The international, whose contract with Borussia expires on June 30, has been linked with SC Freiburg. Freiburg lost their defender Nico Schlotterbeck for the new season, who switched to Borussia Dortmund. However, Virkus has not confirmed that Ginter is moving to SC Freiburg.
