Gladbach agree with Hofmann successor?

Borussia Mönchengladbach is said to have found a replacement for Jonas Hofmann, who had moved to Bayer Leverkusen.

The Bundesliga soccer club has reached an oral agreement with French winger Franck Honorat, the pay TV broadcaster “Sky” reported on Saturday evening.

The last details are still to be clarified with Honorat’s current employer, the French first division club Stade Brest.

According to “Sky”, Gladbach should be ready to pay a fee of between six and eight million euros, including possible bonus payments for the 26-year-old.

Honorat should sign a contract until 2027 or 2028 if a final agreement is reached.

Honorat switched from Saint-Étienne to Stade Brest in 2020 for five million euros. In 134 games in Ligue 1 he scored 25 goals and provided 19 assists.
