GL Events appoints Florence Rousson as head of the Première Vision trade fair

The owner of the sourcing trade fair Première Vision, GL Events, wants to pave the way for new growth prospects in terms of offers, services and events in new geographical markets. For this reason, Florence Rousson was elected Chair of the Board of Directors.

Florence Rousson spent more than ten years at the trade fair network for lingerie, swimwear and active wear brands Eurovet and the French knitwear association (Fédération de la Maille). She can look back on more than 13 years of experience at GL Events Exhibitions. Previously she was director of the Greentech department.

“Florence’s mission is to pave the way to new growth prospects in terms of market share with new products, geographical sales markets and innovative services,” said Olivier Ginon, CEO of the group, in a statement on Wednesday.

The reasons for this change of direction? A market weakened by the Covid crisis, a weakened midfield and major challenges in terms of environmental responsibility. The next Première Vision Paris, which will take place at Paris Nord Villepinte from July 2nd to 4th, 2024 and will present the fall-winter 2025/2026 materials, is therefore part of the effort to structure the growth of the fashion division.

The international orientation is reinforced by a hosted buyers program (invitation of buyers) and the presence of the most important players in the global industry – especially from Europe, Asia and America, according to the press release. The selectivity of the offer, an important part of this major meeting, will be enhanced by a redesign of the trade fair schedule. The program is extensive and market-oriented.

To date, this specialist event brings together more than 86,000 visitors from 120 countries and more than 3,500 exhibitors from over 48 countries at 11 annual events on 3 continents (Europe, North America, Asia).
