An 8-year-old girl was assaulted by a masked man on Monday afternoon. That happened at the Vlierstraat in Bergen op Zoom. The police are present for investigation. The child was injured and taken to hospital.
According to the police, it is not yet clear what exactly happened. “We have not yet been able to speak to the victim, he has been taken to the hospital,” the spokesman said. Officers have spoken to a witness who saw the assault. “We are betting high on this. Multiple units are in the area to search for the possible perpetrator.”
Just before five o’clock, the police received a report of a stabbing on Vlierstraat. Several officers came to the scene to investigate. It turned out that there had not been a stabbing, but an assault.
