Again Peter Gillis (63) was in the court in Den Bosch on Tuesday. Where previously it was about his holiday parks and his tax return, the case against his ex Nicol Kremers (35) was again on the agenda. It has not been bothered between the two former lovers for some time and Gillis demands 2.3 million from her because she would not have adhered to a confidentiality agreement.
It was a kind of déjà vu in court Tuesday. Peter Gillis came, as usual, with his Wendy and his three children in front of the cameras of RTL Boulevard and SBS Shownieuws. But Nicol Kremers did not show up. She had sent her manager and two lawyers, she could not handle it herself. She is afraid that she will end up in a deep valley again due to a confrontation with her ex and she wants to prevent that. In addition, she can see her children again recently and she doesn’t want to put that at stake.
The two former lovers are involved in a soil procedure that was filed by Gillis. He believes that Kremers has violated a so -called settlement agreement. An agreement signed by both when the two officially broke up in February 2023.
In that agreement, both agreed that they would say nothing negative about each other in public. And that confidentiality was both business and private. But it immediately went wrong, according to Gillis. Nicol Kremers did bring out everything about him and would even intend to write a book.
And that costs her money, as far as Gillis is concerned. The bill has since risen to 2.3 million euros. But how that amount was built up was not clear. However, it seems clear that Kremers cannot just cough up this amount.
Story of Nicol
The handling of the case lasted more than an hour and a half and contained little news compared to previous cases, such as summary proceedings on a possible book in November 2023 and an interim case to be allowed to hear Gillis under Ede. Kremers believes that she is forced to sign that agreement. She was dependent on Gillis at the time. She was employed by him, lived with him and made agreements with his lawyer.
The big asset of Nicol is that she would have been mistreated by Peter Gillis. She reported ten abuses in 2022, but no statement has been made about that. According to Gillis, Nicol has no big asset at all and she changed that declaration later and there is little going on.
According to Gillis, the divorce was precisely in supreme harmony. The conversations about an agreement started in November 2022, he said. And that was signed in February 2023. In the meantime, the two still saw each other often and they still went on vacation. Even after the signing they would have been intimate, Gillis revealed and would have arranged everything for Nicol, such as a car.
Little rapprochement
And so it went back and forth between the two parties and it turned out that both former lovers are miles away from a solution. At the end, the judge made another attempt to come to a conversation. But although both parties did not say ‘no’, their answers showed that a conversation will not happen.
And so the judge must judge whether the confidentiality agreement is legally valid or not. Was Nicol forced by Gillis or is there no question of that? And does a possible violation also cost millions?
The judge will rule on 13 August.
