Gigi D’Agostino reports after a long illness: “I’m feeling better”

D’Agostino reports back with a black and white picture of himself. He now wants to “move on”.

Luigino Celestino Di Agostino, better known as Gigi D’Agostino, led a life filled with glitzy parties until a serious illness stopped everything two years ago. He did not make public what was suffering from the Italian DJ and largely withdrew from the public eye. Now he’s coming forward Instagram back with a current image.

“Buonasera…”

After a year without a social media presence, he surprised his fans with a black and white photo on Instagram in which he wrote: “Buonasera…” (in German: “Good evening”). The joy of his followers is great. In the comments, the DJ shared that he was feeling better. When Dutch star DJ Tiesto asked how he was doing, he said: “Hello… I had some problems about two years ago, but now I’m feeling better. I will continue.”

In December 2021, D’Agostino shocked his fans when he posted a photo on social media that showed him using a walker. He also announced that he had been battling an aggressive illness for several months. The DJ described his suffering as draining and very debilitating. Despite the “constant pain,” he decided to keep fighting.

Hope for a musical comeback

It remains to be seen whether now that the artist seems to be doing better again we can expect new music from him. Many of his followers are hoping for a comeback from the Italian DJ and are asking him in the comments when they can expect something new. So far, the 55-year-old has not commented on possible future releases.

Even though there haven’t been any releases from him for some time, Gigi D’Agostino still has around ten million monthly listeners on Spotify.
