The Zweedse autobouwer Volvo has a location dedicated to it for a longer period of time than the large battery factory. The building was initially built in Thuisland Zweden, but also in the city of Gothenburg, so that Volvo Cars can present a plan.
The factory has created up to 3,000 jobs and has been adding new batteries for almost every year electric cars have been made. The building will start in 2023, the first battery will be produced in 2025.
Volvo Cars is responsible for the battery in a joint venture between the Scandinavian battery and Northvolt. Seeds are about 30 million crowns (2.9 million euros) invested in batteries for electric cars from Volvo and Polestar that are being developed and produced. It was also planned that there was also a separate development center in Gothenburg for the battery.
